Would be wonderful to see a line of lightning strikes to form between Belgium and the south of the uk. I can picture it. Asking for too much?

Just as long as it's north of me.

Yes, I have just ran it frame by frame, hoping to spot A stepper, but amazing to see the strike hit, and then decay to a string of pearls, screen grabbed several, the light generated from both the strike on the hill in the distance, and the point blank strike only 250 yards away, light the whole area up to a mid summer's day at noon!!! Incredible power......

Horses didn't seem to bat an eyelid, but I bet they got a good fright, just not seen in the short clip!!

Didn't spot A steppa, either.......

Very ominous skies to the north from here. Have set the camera up (on a tripod on the windowsill, with one of the legs in the kitchen sink) to try and photograph some lightning but currently a bit too light outside. Have seen lots of scud from the base of the storm and it looks like it could be a real show. Haven't seen any lightning yet.

edit: getting closer, 20 plus cc's in the last 3 mins.

LOLOL Impressive set up :-D I jsut about saw the edge of that and heard 3 distant rumbles around 7/730 when I was clearing the garden up and getting the laundry in.

Eindhoven lit up like a Christmas tree but best view it when the storm has passed as the cam looks like it's viewing north'ish.

I think the North Sea may play a part tonight, if that storm in Belgium comes this way

Thunder and Lightning getting closer, seems things are brewing after a complete lack of a close storm for many years here.

Amber warning out.

2016-09-15 (4).png

Quote

A cold front approaching moist, unstable air is expected to generate a line of exceptionally heavy, thundery rain. Possible sustained hourly rates of more than 30 mm could result in totals of more than 100 mm in 3-4 hours. Particularly in urban areas, this could lead to flooding of properties and businesses and major disruption to transport.

Hi x I can hear distant thunder too, it's so relaxing to listen to! I don't have work tomorrow so I'm hoping for a good storm as I don't have to get up early.

Metoffice have just issued an amber warning for London and the East!

"Please be prepared for the potential for very severe weather conditions"

Don't often see wording like that from the Met Office. If it comes off I wouldnt be surprised to see a red warning tomorrow.

Going nuts over in the Low Countries right now (100+ strikes/min)

Ain't that typical? SW of Uden is where I was at the end of August!
