Looking on radar, there's some bright echoes out in the Channel. It might not be over yet for you over to the West. Not yet electrified but worth keeping an eye on

Thunder now heard. Strange sound though. Not rumbles, just short sharp bangs even at a distance!

Frequent menacing rumbles to the E/NE. Very very dark in that direction as well.

Looks like it is on rain radar.... converging around the m6 atm south of warrington down to birmingham

I heard that sort of thunder as a kid, I was about 10 yrs old, I have never heard anything like it since, but I remember it was a very severe storm (I'm 52 now)!!!

But I remember that sound like it was yesterday.....!!!

Cracking little storm that was! Lots of lightning and thunder. Sun has come out now.

looked at the lightning.org realtime map, zoomed in on my old town of Penkridge, nr Stafford.....jeez h christ, it's getting pummeled!!

Going quite dark looking out towards the Goyt, already a few rumbles heard here. The last chance of some good-storm action of the summer is hopefully arriving on the doorstep within the next half-hour.
