On my farm it will make the difference of about £3000 whether we get much rain or not in the next week....so it matters to me, and many other farmers/growers.

My parents friends are farmers and its been perfect growing weather this year in Herts - No issues what so ever here.

Not to much rain or to little. Not to hot and not to cold.

But Yes the difference of £3k - I understand why you want rain, but what would i know with my 'first world problems' @Jason H

Who knew not wanting it rain because of a work event was First World problems - That makes 90% of the British public then

Temp all the way down to 13.9 now, going to be weird going out with a jacket on, not sure I've done that all summer.

Believe me if I could I would.

Somewhere like Toronto - hot summers and freezing winters = proper seasons!

Never enjoyed our 'varied' climate as it's a boring Atlantic varied.

Enjoy the rain today!

I will. Thank you.

Although I have no opinion either way on the weather.

And if I did, I may mention it once or twice. Not every post.

Imagine crying cause it was a bit rainy for the day. Stay out of the tropics!

Relentless moderate to heavy rain all afternoon, 24mm when I checked after the morning's deluge but have already got wet enough so I'll check it again later! Can't believe I'm wearing joggers and a hoodie :(

Well it looks like the jeans are going to be a permanent fixture again. I hate putting them on after months of shorts, skirts and dresses and flip flops. Ewww.

Was expecting it to feel much colder today but actually felt quite hot once the sun came out - up to 21C locally. Not quite the rude autumnal shock!

I'm down to 12.8 at the min, at least the rain has more or less stopped.

Very dark and ominous clouds here, although the radar only shows light rain.

Well I say bring back the heat please it is too cold outside now. It does look like a warm up of sorts could happen next week. It was good to see the thread so lively over the past few days.

Your to used to the new seasons, where we seem to skip Autumn until late December like last year lol. Then go strait into spring skipping the winter.

Couldn't agree more, it's not fun having to put long sleeves on but even worse putting on jeans after months in shorts (outside of work). Hoping we get a few more weeks where it's warm enough for shorts and flip-flops, if not t-shirts!

Dreary grey start here with light rain on and off. Temp was 12C at 07.00 but now up to 15C at 09.00. The Netweather forecast is for sunny spells and 21C later today - hope so, but it will rely on the sun peeping out! :)

Yesterday's rainfall came to 23.6mm here, so in the end not a bad effort and the slugs are very pleased!

A drizzley mess on my commute in t work this morning there was a heavier pulse for a while but that has cleared west. Tomorrow looks a bit more promising. Seeing people in there coats today and one man I think took it a bit too far as he was dressed ready for a Siberian onslaught . Perhaps he knows something we don't. :)

I've got to buy a whole new wardrobe for one of mine, she's doing a production in Russia with her school, (6 form), she needs much warmer clothing than she's used to wearing. Going in December.

You must have a seriously talented sprog there, Alexis? :D

Anyway, it's a strange sort of day, up here: lots of convective clouds, a few sunny intervals and a fresh NNE wind. But, it steels a tad muggy at 18C...
