Think quite a bit of the US is going to turn white in next 3-5 days whilst not a lot of change expected in Europe in this time period.

Thanks, I will download the up-to-date chart.

More snow spreading into Scandinavia and only a very small of part is free of snow.

Might fail for us, but for most of Europe it currently looks as if it has been fairly accurate. Early days yet though.

Plenty of snow-cover across the western side of the United States, right down into California and Nevada: Its been very cold there with Seattle regularly getting hard frosts and snow, San Fran has also dropped close to freezing point. Meanwhile, on the other side of the US it has been mild with New York and Washington reaching the balmy heights of 18C and snow-cover has receded to the Great Lakes area. Quite a reversal of the normal pattern.

I am pleased to note that all of Canada- even Vancouver- is totally snow-covered: Should be good for my holiday to Churchill late next month!
