The Winchester Bus

Recommended Posts

I live in the south of England near Guildford and while watching the weather radar I have noticed that there is a regular weather pattern that travels from west to east just south of the north downs. These rain clouds run in short pulses every half hour. I have named this the ‘Winchester Bus’ because of their short length and regular timetable. Even if there is a rain cloud system arriving from the south the Winchester bus still runs on its journey through to Reigate and beyond. If there is rain about usually the Winchester bus runs. Do you know if this has got a real name?
