Let's go 15.1 degrees, another mild month but not especially so, cloudy conditions at night early on will help keep temps high, but expecting a cool off as the month wears on. Typical NW/SE divide in evidence, northern parts nearer average following on from the pattern over the summer as a whole. 

Hadn't realised how chilly last September was, don't remember it being particularly cool. I think maxima was consistently below average thanks to a predominant westerly/nw airstream off a cool atlantic, nighttime minima was often average or a little above conversely with no frost from memory.
