If I have to pay the license fee, I'll pay it; anything to be able to watch 1970s sitcoms on Dave! Seriously though, I don't waste much time with commercial channels...

I also think that the BBC coverage has been very good, hopefully when they sub license it in future years, the coverage will be almost as good.

After a slow (ish) start, the British team is now doing fantastically well, and surpassing the Beijing medals total looks very likely.

Each to their own. I think the BBC provides excellent programming. Way better than Sky where you pay a fortune for it, but STILL get ad breaks!

You choose to pay for Sky, you're not forced and Sky movies has all the ads between the films .

Arrest warrant issued for Ipswich Town chairman Marcus Evans in Rio:

Ticket touting, which is a step up from organising arms dealer conferences, I suppose. A shame for the reclusive millionaire as Ipswich are currently celebrating their 15th consecutive season in the Championship.

Merely giving this wider attention to expose the shadier elements within our society. And if the Brazilian Police are looking in you should be able to find the suspect at Portman Road this coming Sunday lunchtime.

Impressive 200m heat qualification by my local Olympian Danny Talbot, we all know that, barring a miracle/disqualification/fall, Bolt will win but can Talbot challenge for a final place and medal?

Pretty depressing reading regarding the boxing:

Certainly the Heavyweight final was a joke.

I don't get the dislike for Clare Balding either. I think on the whole, the BBC coverage has been excellent as usual. It puts other broadcasters like NBC to shame.

Agree , however I wish they would stick to one channel and stop making us switch over because of eastenders or the news . Just put those shows on bbc 2 and keep bbc1 on the Olympics.
