I'll go with 16.8 degrees, with a marked NW-SE divide, cloudy nights will help keep CET values up, with near average CET maxes thanks to the influence of the azores high and predominant westerly winds, not ridging in far enough to produce clear skies, but enough to prevent cooler interludes penetrating into the south for any sufficient length of time. Conversely Scotland, N Ireland and far north of england will probably see slightly below average values, thanks to cloud cover keeping maxes at suppressed levels and greater affect of cooler interludes.

Not expecting a particularly interesting month in terms of extremes, all very average standard fayre, much like the summer as a whole - very average, and one that will be instantly forgotten and hardly talked about in the record books.

This month seems so difficult to guess.
Think I will go for 16.7c.

If this Azores high stays around there wont be any cold weather.
