Glad I wasn't doing a all-nighter watching the skies for anything here as it looks like everything has been more westwards than forecasted by the models, hopefully the heat of the day is already underway for stragglers behind the CF across the Midlands and NW.

Looks like cells are developing southwards Cheshire into Derbyshire currently? maybe me waking up with the PCu fan has sparked some extra CAPE lol.

Funny how things always seem to unfold within a 20 mile radius of me. Storms exploding to life now just to my N. Typical.

CAPE does rapidly increase between 6-9am on the latest GFS model.

Couldn't make it up. Even looks like parts of Manchester are going to get hit now. Going to bed anyway, been a long night.

Yes, depressing isn't it!!!! At least someone is benefitting from all this heat!! We may be lucky and catch a shower/storm today down this way!

Weird 'storm' here - hardly any rain. Sky looks nothing like what the radar is suggesting. Rumbling thunder and seen 1 IC and 1 CG. Really odd kind of storm.

Cell number 6 now and it's a  frequent one.

So glad Holyhead was virtually underneath the mass of storms, I was worried you wouldn't see anything but glad you enjoyed yourself! We are already at 20,000 lightning strikes for today and it's not even 8am yet!

Yes, just started raining here, out of quite broken cloud. Nothing heavy yet, no thunder heard either over the urban drone.
