by far best year for storms in many years already

and only towards end of June

Regionally maybe, its been sub par here :-( still got a couple more months to see a storm but it has been a frustrating month so far. We have seen storm's die a death as soon as they get within a few miles then see them burst back into life on the radar as soon as they have passed! This is the nature of storms but come on lol!! Today i think we are out the zone seem to be a bit too far NW.

Decent storm just gone past here. Nothing spectacular but the best we've had here for a while.

And the complete opposite for storms this year here so far. Absolutely nothing heard or seen (and towards the end of June) bit unusual for us

Spalding just got mullered by a impressive storm. Constant thunder. Developed overhead.

was very impressive thunder, still a few rumbles around. was amazing just watching the storm build above us, clouds rising  and circulating around then boom

Well that was pretty cool. Had a ring-side seat of the storm that passed over me earlier moving east. Some spectacular lightning including multiple forks and, also rotation with scud being drawn up underneath.

Can someone please enlighten me. How do you tell that a thunder cloud has broken the cap? :cc_confused:

Sounds cool poseidon. Would've loved to have seen that.

I have a huge cb to my immidiate northwest with very dark, angry looking base. Still dry and bright directly overhead...

Seen some beautiful strikes today. A fair few over the Mainland and a few in the Solent. Certainly seen more in the past week than the whole of last year up in Leeds.
