Time to hit the sack! It's been fun watching this unfold. I think some of the hi-res models have done pretty well, some stuck to their guns about developments further West and i think they were right. I've seen plenty of lightning and had some great skies yesterday, not too shabby considering the main action was reserved for areas further East. All good fun! :)

Oh my.  Here's the next powerful storm.

#BlackwallTunnel is currently CLOSED northbound due to flooding. Drivers are advised to seek an alternative route.

Eastway Tunnel (A12) is also flooded Southbound. Approach with care.

Ahhh well that was fun Evening/night, 1 annoying thing about the 2nd wave of storms, there was a lot of fog obscuring the Lightning, but I really aint complaining. Been some lovely CG'S and also some very very close calls, with explosive sounding thunder. Glad I stayed on the Island :D

Good grief. Never have I seen the channel so active in all my life!! Brighton and eastwards, you are in for an awakening of rare proportion!! Storm heading for you is kicking out hundreds per minute!

My word, the channel has lit up like crazy, I'm gonna unplug for sure if/when that reaches here.

It's been raining constantly here for hours but no thunder/lightning since evening.

There's a monster in the channel now, front of electrical activity stretches from just south of Hastings to Le Treport in France. Looks like Calais will take a direct hit along with the entire coast running north from Le Treport

Yes I'm keeping a close eye on that lot in the Channel just to my south. Frequent lightning here now.
