Sort of confused as to why the thunderstorm has now got more intense over the sea, must be intensifying under the sea breeze outflow...

It's just a madly weird day out there. I have no power AGAIN. I used to love t-storms but I'm getting fed up of this!!! Not really, but it is getting annoying...

well.

been looking out of the window as you do as Bedford seemed to be under it's storm shield. Saw a nice tower develop but nothing on radar.

Checked radar again because of school run ..nothing.

By the time school let out we had a few drops of rain which became big fat drops.

10 minutes later heavy rain and 2 cracks of thunder.:yahoo:

Where did that come from:cc_confused:

nah make that 3 cracks of thunder.

Tempted to go and chase that new thunderstorm to my NE, but is there really any point after today? Nope!

Feeling like David Bowie sang "Oh no not again" Would have liked hubby here, distracting myself from getting stressed with getting on with work!

Storm over me came out of no where. Although have seen some lovely convection here. Honestly radar had me in the center of nothing then half later bang.

3 storms so far this month quite shocking.

:yahoo:

May I ask where this was? Just a rough location in the UK would be nice :) Very long and spindly looking, also, welcome to the forums :)

Looks like a very similar line of storms as yesterday around far E Mids/W East Anglia right now.

still baffled by the dry slot between Lincoln and Birmingham. Looks dry for the rest of today here now.

Not the same until I get my crazy storms again like yesterday :D And on that subject, just heard a distant rumble from about 17 miles away :yahoo:Heading this way but will probably die before getting here

The dry slot will be good for Gordon who hates storms!

Good spot! No location under your name, where are you?

Swear London has a storm shield this week, anything heading this way just evaporates, one last day tomorrow of storms which should in theory deliver around here.

As I said yesterday  it is virtually impossible to hear thunder from that  distance.

Most definitely is, very faint rumble in the distance the second the map showed a closer strike then the rest. I was hearing them from that distance from across the wash easily yesterday aswell.

A few rumbles of thunder here as a large Tcu passes over Poynton, typically though this area of the Peaks has eluded the showers again.
