More thunder, to my NE this time.

Jesus! Your cam looks great, going to keep watching it :) Good chance you could have a small overhead storm soon?

Yeah, to be honest, risk is only just starting we've got hours yet before activity starts to wane. :)

I gotta find a way of scaling the image down without losing the aspect ratio. I tried to embed an rtsp link for smooth, live streaming, but after reading up on wiki, you can't do it within HTML.

Anyway, fingers crossed for more action! I'm trying to clean my fish tank out, as I have brought new quartz sand and lots of other goodies, but the weather isn't playing ball, and now i'm getting distracted.  Cherna-aggh.gif

The cam you have running is showing a HUGE black cloud! Is that the cell producing thunder to the North-East?

Showers look potent before the cross the Bristol Channel, but look nothing more than a light shower once they crossed over.

Don't worry - nothing much here in Cardiff!

Just started with some convective rainfall. Not lasting long. Just wet the floor.

Dry here with skies brightening.

The last 2 weeks has seen my most active fortnight for storm chasing since I started back in 2004. For me there has not been a better convective spell for a long time when taking into account longevity and storm intensity. I realise there have been stronger storms but even the 28th June 2012 was a one day offer.

Here in Derby we managed one storm on Tuesday. I am yet to edit that footage as still catching up on the weekends footage. I am loving that I now have a back log of footage to edit!

A whole series of big cracks of thunder in the Spalding area! Lightning maps has only detected one strike, been 3 so far from an actual count!

I was messing around with the ATD Lightning archive yesterday, looking at the most active days of the past 4 or 5 years, and realised that it would take something really special to beat June 28th 2012 in terms of storm intensity.

Very light rain just started, big drops, radar shows it as a light shower not expecting any thunder or heavy rain anytime soon
