Ice bergs

glaciers

hiking

midnight sun

extraordinary scenery

cool temps - 7c

sunshine

tricky place to get to and expensive and only 4 hotels, but this place has so much potential. This will become a v popular destination in time.

Hi Karyo. Flew easy jet Luton to Copenhagen. Overnighted there and flew to Kangerlussaq and then a short flight to Illulissat. Flights to Greenland on Air Greenland. There was a technical problem on the last leg with a 3 hour delay, which is not unusual for this airline.

Its a long old haul but worth it.

Stayed at Hotel Artic for 3 nights (check out the igloos) and hotel icefjiord.

Booked it all direct.

hotel artic has their own web cam. Check it out and you can see the icebergs. AWESOME.

Looking forward to a week's respite  on the Outer Hebrides. I love that drowned landscape and the wide sandy beaches. It may rain or whatever, it will still be nice.:)
