Strange, as we're monitoring this at the moment. Can see it in the log for the forum as a server went off, but nothing on the servers for the rest of the site. We're pretty sure we know what the bug was when this has been occurring though.

Could well be this end as Virgin media went off during the period although everything should switch to BT plus my gigabit switch also is acting up.

I had this problem yesterday trying to book a Virgin Train from Edinburgh to Kings Cross

Kept declining my card with that message displayed.   3 times I tried then gave up.   Then booked tickets through National Rail and the whole transaction went through without any problem.

Then I had an automated fraud call from the bank needing me to verify if I had made the declined transactions.   Must have spent a couple of hours from start to finish.   Bloody nightmare!

new gigabit switch in the old one had at least one blown cap. Maybe repairable.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall. It doesn't rain very often here like other desert areas, but like the deadly floods in Libya last year showed, these rain events are likely becoming more extreme due to global warming.
