Had yesterdays warm front cleared the south east before the trough of Thunderstorms hit behind it.. I seen the tennis at Eastbourne yesterday and I could see blue skies so looked like the warm front had been..

Just had a shower that went from nothing to lot's of big drops in about 0.001 seconds. Lasted about 5 mins. Downburst?

Been raining for four hours

Heavy rain and few rumbles of thunder with 2 flashes of lightning!

A standard attempt at a thunderstorm UK style then = pathetic! 

Looking forward to brighter skies tomorrow and a bit of sun if we're lucky. 

Roll on Spain - don't know how much more I can take of this rain and grey skies!!

You can keep the rain, had a lovely sunny day till, about two hours ago, it's looked like raining a few times since, but nothing except the occasional big drop or two. Until the shower above, everywhere was soaked in about a minute or less.

Trust me, it's exceedingly heavy! Not particularly electrified though, saw about 4 flashes and half a dozen rumbles.

Now north of Norwich.  It's intermittent, but I'm not surprised there's been some given the radar.
