Not much showing on the radar, but driving back to pitsea I could see loads of elevated flashes to the west in the distance, and can now hear distance rumbles here too with flashes every 40s or so oh and for once here in pitsea I have a view to the right direction!

I was worried earlier thinking I would be maybe too far west, and would be a little better off in Benfleet, but now I'm not so sure, looks like there's a lot of elevated activity in the west! :)

Have you tried a thundershirt?

Yeah. Everything. I am training to be a dog trainer because he has been really difficult. Love him to bits though and he's very clever, just nervy.

He's just announced more thunder here. Looks like I won't get any sleep tonight.

Hello. I'm a newbie...after being a long time lurker on this site. In Cambridge and have just seen a few bright flashes to the south East looking at the sky in the garden here, night lightening is wonderful.  even though the interesting stuff is a long way from here it's just starting to feel quite muggy here.  must be quite some storms brewing down there towards London and the environs.

Just realised why not much was showing on lightningmaps, I had it set to show only strikes of the last few minutes :shok:

Poor lad, I know what it's like as I have an Aussie early warning system in place! Sound sensitive dogs are such worried souls, especially as you have to learn what triggers their anxiety - I've known collies who hated drills, dustcarts, bin liners being shaken open, etc (but not thunder in those cases).

Absolutely torrential here! Lightning every few seconds and thunder shaking the house. makes a change to have something worthwhile reporting from my patch in the south east lol!

Oh dear, just watching the Channel developments and they do seem to be trundling along the same track as the previous lot now heading into Holland. Boo and hiss.
