Counting the weeks down to winter start. Six years in Riyadh made me allergic to hot weather! Bring on the rain....please.

My nearest official weather station ( Herstmonceux, 11.7 miles away ) has now reported an impressive rise in temperature in the last hour.

21.5c at midnight and now 24c at 1am.

To be honest I don't have a problem with it. Windows open and a nice breeze blowing through.

Morning all,

well I reckon that the next few days will be horrible an sweaty in this corner.

Night time maxes according to MO 6 dayer dont seem to want to go below 18c and day temps well 24c plus on the horrid SW winds.

Going to make yesterday seem like a spring day lol...

Down to 19c last night, there is some mid-level instability around at the moment and a couple of showers to the west of here.

The Euro4 is still going for highs of 29/30c across the region, I still think somewhere like Norwich/Cromer could hit 32c today if the sun stays out.

A few scattered showers showing later on, but it is completely lucky of the draw to whether we see a few thunderstorms develop along the cold front as it moves eastwards.

Have to say, looking at the charts, Mid to high twenties for over a week!! Very summery and enjoyable for those who don't like the really hot weather

Does anybody know what the overnight London min was this morning and whether the record was broken?  I'm guessing not.  I'm also assuming that London will see the highest minima.

My min was 20.1C. I think that's the first time I've recorded a double digit min starting with a '2' and therefore it's a record for me.

Well its just gone 8.30 am and its 25c.

Must admit I dont remember many days in my life at this temp so early.

Bad news for us in this corner it looks like very high minima for next few days.

Went to bed and it was 24.4c outside, woke up at 6am and it was 22.c.

Just come out into the daylight to find it's muggy, overcast and the clouds in the w/sw look dark, wasn't expecting this.

I reckon makeup sales must plummet at this time of year. With the sweating and hayfever there's no point unless you want to look like some sort of panda whore.
