30c here at the moment, I hope this hot weather breeds a few good thunderstorms.

A bit of localized flooding might be nice.

26.c indoors here and the fan in the office is doing nothing. What's the point!!

Just topped 30c outside and it feels a little uncomfortable, I'm drinking water but I just feel lethargy and find it hard to concentrate. I went to school in 100f plus as a kid daily so I feel like a wimp when I complain about these sort of temps now.

I wish I was a man in hot weather...I'm sure I'd be able to hold more water, my partner is like a camel - he can drink like a fish - pints (water or beer:D) but I can't drink a couple of pints of water, I'd burst!

Currently 31C up here, we should reach 32/33C by 5pm when I think we will max out considering we have an increasing hot upper air mass moving over us this afternoon. Just a few clouds are beginning to appear here now, just fair weather cumulus though and nothing that will spoil the day.

It will be interesting watching the minimum temperatures overnight around the country, if somewhere can stay above 23.9c then we would have broken the UK highest minimum daily temperature that was set in Brighton on August 4th 1990.

Netweather gives us a place to view this easily - http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=current;type=maxt

Some of the charts are showing interest

For once I am not moaning about the bedford breeze, that is some strong breeze going on there, much welcomed. A few puffs of cloud but now a little hazy, been blue sky most of the day.

going to melt in the kitchen later, haven't decided what i need to burn yet.

I am eyeing up the picnic BBQ but sadly messy garden + south facing = too hot too sit outside, we need baps and i have a chicken bake thing that i need to cook.

eyes up the beer instead \o/

My weather station is reporting 33.7 on the north downs, still on the rise may hit 34. Second hotest day since July 1st 2015 when we hit 35.8 here.

Just maxed out at 16:28 at 34.4 very briefly before dropping back.

The balcony here today got up to a blistering 55c in the sun, way too hot to sunbathe, would end up with heat stroke!

Well the temperatures have actually dropped below the predicted minima already at 21c.

I have no idea how tomorrow might pan out and hence how hot it could get. I suspect 32c is possible in the east of the region as the winds swing to the south west. Can the hot air hang on for an extra few hours tomorrow, the arpege model has a high of 34c in central/eastern East Anglia, other models are closer to the 30/31c mark.
