I must be a martian then! The sky is lovely, but the humidity and heat needs to bugger off! Can't get any jobs done outside it's too hot humid and sweaty  Only worth it if we get a storm at the end IMO, can't stand it!

4 day heatwave in the middle of the hottest month of the year - not sure it is that unusual, then it's a return to business as usual from Thursday onwards. Glorious by day, well it would be if I wasn't at work (unlike today), but far too warm by night.

Well maximum temperatures look to be 30-34c across England, even here in Norfolk we could be looking at 32c if we keep the clear skies!  It isn't exactly unusual but it isn't an every year event, we are lucky to have a possibly record breaking heatwave again after last year on 1st July.

Bog standard? The duration may be

Definitely on course for a UK minimum 'maximum' temperature record, as we see a finger a deformed one of very hot air! Transverse over our region through small hours,

E4 shows it not getting below 24C for the capital which is staggering!!

20-21C uppers, thick, sultry, hot air, from roasting Iberia.

Very quick post from me:

Spent the day in Henley on Thames finished off with a Picnic and 5 bottles of wine in Cookham village on the banks of the Thames with our 2 other friends and 4 dogs. Really doesn't get much better than this in mid summer.

Enjoy the 30 plus degrees tomorrow everyone who likes the heat - I know I will. Definitely another wine and cheese picnic in order. What a week to have booked off work!

For all the heat moaners & whingers it's Back to business as usual come Thursday and you can bathe in cool cloudy weather. Pfft...

Aa sunny end to the day here, the temperature is still around 26/27c over this part of the region. Definitely a windows down whilst driving sort of evening.

There's also a slight breeze out there right now...doesn't feel humid to me. However tomorrow may be different. Right now it's a perfect summer night for me.

I would kill for some rain. The sun can do one. I don't think I can stand another 'slightly'  overweight person wearing tight clothes.

I don't understand this love of 25C plus. 21C is more than enough. But i did notice a breeze which was lovely.

It's summer, this is what summer is. It rarely lasts long, might as well embrace it whilst it's here.

That's great, but I suffer in heat and hate feeling hot and sweaty.

I get that, and I'm sorry that you suffer, but some people suffer in the cold. Swings and roundabouts is all :)

Not for me it's not, 21C is cold unless clear skies and no wind. 25-28C much nicer, above 30C less nice.

Will be interesting to see what we peak at here in west London. I seem to remember we hit 30 shortly after 9am on July 1st last year BUT it clouded over for 2-3 hours late morning. Still reached 37, otherwise I am sure it would have been a record. What is really unusual about today is how clear the sky is. Normally it's much hazier in this kind of a heat-wave scenario. I am going for 35 at LHR around 4pm...
