A little bit of a non-event for thunder and lightning for this bit of Suffolk methinks, despite the earlier forecast and hopes. Certainly rainfall levels are high enough! Watched the radar until about 230 or so until I was too tired. Thunder was heard as it finally managed to get past London, but nothing like what was experienced further south. Massive show for them! Heavy rain also scuppered chances of any storm viewing here. Looking forward to round two later...

I wouldn't mind seeing Round 1 at some point this year........

Well there was some heavy rain here this morning, since then it has been cloudy, still and very humid. The sun is trying to come out now though. Up to 23C which is pretty good considering there has been no sunshine whatsoever.

Afternoon All,

Interesting watching my weather statrion today, Humidity has plummeted to 72% from 95% this morning, the temperature is bouncing around all over the place, it went up to 26.2 degrees just before 12:00, then suddenly down to 22.4 degrees, now it climbing again and is passing through 24.7 degrees, all under heavy cloud cover...

I am finding it very facinating, perhaps I should get out more...

Cheers

FC

I am quietly confident that I might get a bit of rain in a mo.

Quietly being the word:closedeyes:

I was stuck on a train for 2 hours - ended up going to Dartford as no trains at Barnehurst - took me 3.5 hours in all to get to work in all.  And judging by the national rail and SE trains website, we are looking at the same on the way home.  Joy!

Thunder, Lightening and torrential rain now arrived in Chessington.

Looks like we're getting a bit of payback for yesterday!

biblical rain pouring down, had one flash of lightning, but nothing like yesterday's display elsewhere!

Very dark clouds all day here, heavy rain early on and more in the last hour or so with the odd rumble reported locally (which I missed lol). Feels more like Singapore than London out there, so humid! Shame no sun today as the atmosphere would have gone bang big time.

Dull, dull and dull. Did I mention dull? It really is dull. Surely wishing for a glimpse of the sun isn't too much to ask especially in summer...

It duller than a dull day on national dull day, just light rain here, gone much cooler after the moderate shower I had.

*heads to no storms club again*
