Just got home, got off the bus in one of those white bits on radar, well drenched. Heard thunder in folkestone, so far it has thundered here but I missed it. Looks like plenty more to come though.

Did'nt expect to see a rainbow when I poked my head out of the front door. No rain yet. Sky is beginning to change now.

Strange isn't it, just come off the tractor after topping some fields and had to put on joggers and a hoodie cos I felt cold after being in shorts and a top!

I suspect the cell in the New Forest has our names on it.

Being in a boat in the Channel now would be rather fun and terrifying.

Doubt it, it's all heading NE into the North Sea and of course Benelux....

Lots of flashes out to sea, which is perfect for me, no loud thunder. I wonder if it will come over.

Pink/purple tinge to the clouds here now.

It was a truely beautiful sunset here chrisbell, with a variety of clouds all soaked in pink. Unfortunately I was out and couldn't capture it. :)

First of all Norfolk Sheep, my apologies for missing your humour this morning about Carol putting a curse of any storms!

But regarding your comment above, I'm not too despondent about prospects for later. The cells around the Isle of Wight appear to have East Anglia's name on them, and then there's a whole conveyor belt of storms stretching down to Spain that have our Region's name on them. The Met Off and the models had the best of the action for us any time between 01.00 and 09.00 tomorrow, so hopefully plenty of time yet. :)

Similar thing here, A: the best long-distance storms I've seen since I was in Tunbridge Wells, in 1969!:D

One lives in hope of course - July last year didn't start until about 1.30am properly, but that was a lovely conveyor belt moving in a more N-S direction!

Massive storm started around 10pm here. Would have reported in sooner but have a dog that goes ballistic.

Lots of good, bright lightning and some decent cracks of thunder. Still raining steadily and thunder rumbling.

I love a good thunderstorm. Shame that out of 3 dogs I have shared my life with, this one will not respond to anything.
