Sun is now out in Ashford so I'm guessing the cloud has now dispersed over most of the SE corner.

Certainly brighter but my washing is stubbornly refusing to dry properly *sigh*

Yeah not a good drying day, thick cloud, high humidity and light winds.

Somehow the temperature has hit 22C today despite the cloud.

Any chance that we end up with drizzle instead

I did suggest that on the storm thread but got some abuse lol. Forgot we were not allowed to post our thoughts freely lol...

Very muggy here, certainly feels like something is brewing but I'd be very (pleasantly!) surprised if my area sees much in the way of thunderstorms.

seem to be some beefy showers heading this way from the channel suspect they will clip in Brighton way in around 15 minutes, Hythe / Folkestone in around an hour, most of the SE corner by 8.00 ish

The cloud is breaking up here now as well. Not holding much hope for these storms, to far north and too far west.

There is a massive storm just south of Brighton in  the channel, likewise just south of Dover, they mainly seem routed along the channel atm in 3 zones, I can't see the 3rd zone now south of Brighton not impacting on the coastal region soon

hoping i don't miss anything, as @Dami put perfectly, the humidity is at a high and the chance of storms is also still high so, conditions look good! Good luck everybody!

Love the fact that ppn over the channel is pushing NE rather than N.

Hopefully the worst of any rain will miss London and the northern Home Counties. Ground saturated here

I'm hoping the same. I feel nervous enough watching the action on the maps and cams!

After a very cloudy day we have blue sky's. You can feel the heat in the air.

The worst of the rain will coincide with the most interesting weather therefore I say bring it on! well if it's saturated it can't get more saturated :D

Lots of cloud here near Gatwick. Seems current storms will miss us but we have a flood alert for the Mole.

We could do with a few good storms. We have had storms all around us lately but not proper storms to clear the air.
