It's dragging its heels for sure. Not so quick and could dump a lot a water in a short time. I'm expecting it to arrive in the next hour, hopefully it will still be electrified!

We're up on the hill, Coulsden and Purley had flash floods (they're in the Bourne valley and over an underground river).

Hello Sugarmouse,

you seem new - welcome to the site and most importantly to this clan. We had some biblical rainfall here too, the drains couldn't handle it! At least it makes for a memorable day. :)

I think I picked the wrong time to walk the dog. Few spots of rain when I left by the time we got back it was hammering down. Just started to storm here now.

Does your dog like rain?

I have already sent in the complaint about the shut down of the Bedford storm shield, worked circa 2015 from August, no issues.

Got me 50p back from the meter and a 'sorry it won't happen again'

yep my one storm this year was a whooper

Actually got some thunder here.

Noticed on the radar after the demise late this afternoon.

Over the last hour showers building and expanding all over the south east now.

Yeah I saw a small storm earlier as it went west of here up to Canterbury.. looked at the radar every now and then.. nothing... Then all of a sudden in the last half hour it's gone a bit mad! Seem to be heavy showers (I call them purple rain as they show in purple on the NW radar and who doesn't love Prince) cropping up all over now. CG and Thunder.

it still going strong???

The lightning has stopped for now but it is still raining hard. One of the local roads has been closed due to flooding and a car is abandoned in the middle of it.

We've missed all the good/bad stuff today. Lots bubbling up on the radar this evening though. Hoping for the odd flash and rumble (that's what she said).

Just realised a few of the storms today have been home grown mcs, who needs france. Looks like the storms in france are moving east now anyway, along with all our stuff.

Thinking of going for a drive to Ashford storm looks good on radar.

Don't know if you are going down Willington Street but it is blocked at the bottom.
