Appears to be linking together.  That cell to the NE of Mcr was frustratingly out of my reach, I thought it was drifting back east but it seems to be now finding a friend with the building cell just to the west of Manchester.  They might merge together soon and affect more areas.

The cells towards Chesterfield are just above visible through the mid-layer, building up nicely and i'm hoping they'll merge with the inflow across southern Manchester to join forces. Other than that i'm still keeping my eyes peeled towards the west.

This is getting ridiculous. Are we going to end up with a ring of storms?

Lightning radar doesn't look to promising for northern areas.

The shower developing over Chesterfield should go to the west of us. If it gets this far.

Much better picture than I can get, becoming very hazy now! Hopefully something for us!

I can see the haze over the hills. Feels more humid than earlier as well.

Might just have to settle for heavy rain when it gets here, the lightning map has died a death in NW region.  Just a few lone strikes peppered about.

Still out looking at a new storm that's developed up in about 20 minutes to an active cell. Back building so looks like activity is moving away but slowly drifting my way out west of Shrewsbury.

Cloudy and semi-threatening view to the south, and a distant cb to the north. I'm at Owler Bar in the Peaks currently.

Looking on blitzortung.org there seems to be small storm around the Shrewsbury area, what's the chance of this drifting a bit further north?

It just feels too cool for any storm activity in Gresford (NE Wales) now, although the sun is out nicely thank you very much.
