Will be interesting to see what fires up later down here, sky turning more unstable all of a sudden...

Sferics being detected 5-6 miles to my north, unfortunately as the heavy shower that was over me moves away. A promising start to the afternoon though.

Numerous strikes 5-6 miles north of me. Very dark in that direction.

Looks like a downpour occured recently back at home looking at radar.  Can see darkened skies over in that direction from here in city. Quite humid today - dewpoint at 16C currently.  Was 18C after Wednesday's deluge.  Felt tropical indeed.

Large patch of scud here visibly being force into the cell almost in a funnel-like manner but with definitely no rotation to it. Still interesting to watch the motion ahead of the downpour.

Just got back from a very boozy time in Benidorm! Didn't see much in the way of activity there, but was too drunk to notice anything mainly anyway :pardon:

Nice to come back to and wake up to some deep grumbles earlier and to check the radar to see some of the biggest rainfall rates ever :O

got my eye on a cell that's developing rapidly to the east of Peterborough.

On cue the rain has arrived here just in-time for the annual 'Whaley Water Weekend' music festivities which kicks off tonight.

Lots of strikes to the north and east of Derby. It looks like a line of storms may be developing along the forecast convergence zone. I am hoping the gap in the middle fills in soon :)
