Pathetic yet again. Next week looks good anyway and at least they'll be some rain around, no rain for two weeks.  We'll need a S'ly  component in the flow however otherwise it will be an epic fail again.

Hard to tell which way it's moving. Ignoring the radar for a second and simply using what I can see and hear...it seems to be pushing away to the east?

looks like it will slide down just to the south west of me so I look to avoid if not all a lot of it anyway

Rain easing off now. Each rumble coming from my east now..confirmed by those new strikes just north of Brum city centre.

Solihull or Coventry next? Hard to tell!

Edit: Agree with you Gordon..unless there's more development...it seems like it will miss Bedworth.

As I arrived home about half three there were cells to my west, north and east. The eastern cell was clearly a fully developed cb with clear visible anvil and gave a nice distant rumble as I got out the car. Its gone all quiet and calm since, although its extremely muggy here. Everything on the radar that was around here seems to have died. I'm wondering if the convergence zone has shifted north west?

Oh man thats bad. I forgot to mention the slip road coming off the A2 was just under 1 ft of water, I kid you not. Stuck the hazards on and crawled through at walking pace!

Dodged all the showers yesterday but finally took a direct hit, are they London wide?

the rain is not as much of a concern as the amount of T & L that might still be in it

I think it may be building up on it's northern edge. Still just east of me but may give a wider area some action over the next hour or two...or some prolonged action if you live in Sandwell!

Thought i heard a rumble and its started raining, nice big fat drops but nothing much seems to be happening.strange thing i cant figure out is that the clouds appear to be going in different directions and i cant make up my mind which way they are going! One minute they are coming from the north west and now from the east, although the radars showing from north!

Happy now :) after missing out th last few days, a close lightning strike with very loud thunder and several rumbles towards Birmingham way and moderate to heavy rain and I was just on the edge of the main monsoon stuff, also wind was gusty through it, but rain looks to be dying down a touch now

Well it's Day 3 of this 'thundery spell' and we've seen only dry and sunny. Right now is the first time in this spell that threatening clouds have appeared.

Will this eve see T&L and rain here?
