The cells are exploding at quite a rate across W London, being able to make out the bulging dome updraughts in the twilight and the increasing illuminations (in fact one neat dome has become an anvil already while typing). Looks stunning from here.

I can see them from here in Bexleyheath. Stunning silver gold lightning showing towering clouds. High bases storm as well

And another, further away. Glad I'm not on a ferry tbh. I think some of you would love to be though.

Just seen some flashes in the distance, think it must be the new activity coming from Stratford Upon Avon area... It looks like the storms are expanding further west as the night goes on.

Being under them is truly spectacular :)

I sat and watched ours literally puffing up from the inside, extremely weird.

Same here, gorgeous display. Clouds here can't seem to make their minds up as to what way they're heading....

My friend in Wallingford also got nothing, it kept fading on the radar as it got closer, we saw it growing upwind from us over Eynsham, then it just came and hit us. Perfect show!

Getting some lovely flashes to my NW now from that Wantage cell. Looks like they're getting a soaking just a few miles away. Dry as a bone here

Looks like the Stratford cell, showing as active.

Looks to me like potential cells trying to develop more over C London, but that could be wholly wrong as I'm relying on what little I can make out in the fading light!

Just had three or four flashes off shore, together, it was loud, they must have all been positive, it went Bang, Bang, Bang, rumble, rumble.

Yeah I heard that multi-banger.

Watching that storm from here, can hear faint rumbles and see quite nice lightning from it. Amazing day really. I'm hoping the stuff from the north west will start producing lining again as it gets closer

Cells forming over the Peak District, nothing thundery yet but at least any rain is welcome given the dry conditions underfoot here.

Is there a westward shift going on or is it simply just an expansion of this line of storms running from southeast London to Preston?
