Did anyone in MK manage to get a view of that storm in all directions? I could only see bits and pieces of it. A lot of it was changing shape very, very fast. Think there may have been a funnel cloud in the distance but very brief, only for a few seconds.

I pointed out earlier it look like it had a wall cloud with rotation on it, but my observation was dismissed. Sadly I was stuck indoors with a screaming 5 month old, so couldn't go out and catch some video. Hopefully some one in Bedford or MK managed to get a pic or video. The sheer amount of lightning from it accompanied by powerful non stop thunder, squally winds for 2 or 3 mins and weird cloud structures resembling a whales mouth points to possible super cell characteristics.

Think the trough is passing over here now so may be game over for here now. Still, nice to have heard some thunder. :)

Same as what can see from Southampton. Certainly growing!

Yep, this is the same cell taken from 5 miles South of Salisbury.

There's a line of them building. Each one a bit smaller the further south you go.

Still some rumbles in the distance but not as frequently as earlier it seems.

It appears to be cycling again on the far NE edge. I'm keeping an eye on all the other cells to the west of MK, they appear to be circling each other and building. Very odd movement. I can now hear thunder in all direction from the center MK, sounding angry again.

I'd by very surprised at rotation or wall cloud. Non-existent SRH, DLS weak to non-existant, same as LLS. It's possible people mistake circulation for rising condensation, or even scud in any outflow. You never know though!

Starting to worry we're going to be too far west very soon. Need to see more development to our west if we still stand a chance. That trough is going to have finished coming through here very soon I think.

Looking superb for the east of Brum now.

Me too. Very interesting. Seems like it's just paused here.

My wife has been working down in Wordsley near Stourbridge today and told me she heard "proper pew pew thunder!" earlier.

Love it!

Still raining but the intensity has dropped. Still a solid amount of thunder/lightning. I guess now we wait to see what the cells west of MK do.
