I think I can see the outspill of the cells to the south. Meanwhile, in stable-atmosphere-land it's a warm dry pleasant evening and we're about to have dinner on the patio.

Also sat in the garden having a coffee and no chance of getting a soaking.

Showers appear to be staying to the South - chalk this weekend off as close but no cigar.

To be quite honest I'm happy it's staying as it is today as I want to be outdoors. I was happy with yesterday's surprise, despite its rather erratic nature, as I wasn't expecting it. No doubt we'll get our direct hit soon.

Nowt happened here, despite my earlier post thinking it would. In fact it turned into a pretty warm and sunny afternoon.

By the way anyone else having issues quoting posts? Ever since this site was updated months ago i'm getting sporadic issues quoting posts.

Chased that Illminster cell but it has virtually died out by the time I got there, saw a few intra cloud flashes and a lot of heavy rain. Then went south towards Dorchester to intercept another cell down that way but not much came of it. Back home now.

The wind has dropped here, and everything is going up! Dark to my North, and slightly to my South, whether anything develops further is open to debate.

Noticing more defined tops to cbs to the south now and the radar confirms there's something a little closer to here. Still reckon I won't get anything as things are moving the wrong direction (if at all) but maybe something in Bridgwater?

Got my eye on those showers south west of me hoping they don't die out and slowly move towards me if they don't die and they do reach here it could be dark and a night time storm could be on here's hoping but after the champions league final please.

Constant rumbling thunder in the distance here. Can't see any flashes though YET

That's what I like to hear. Can see the clouds but too far away to hear anything. I'm being lazy and staying put by sitting on the patio with the laptop hehe.

No thunder, but there's big drops of rain now- that'll keep the dust down.

The Quantock cell was a beast :D

Very frequent flashes of lightning, constant thunder and some nice structure. Only saw 2 cg's but they were powerful.

Awesome day, so glad I stayed another day
