We've got torrential rain  now, with the odd rumble of thunder.

Why does everything want to miss me? I used my own money to drive to Exmoor only to be greeted by nothing!

On a more serious note, I recall a night in August 1975 when the lightning from very distant storms was being reflected off cirrus clouds; and, couple of years back, I could see lightning from a monster storm in Milton Keynes!

Good luck for the weekend!:bomb:

Finally got home through the bank holiday traffic and it's kicking off here with a number of booms of thunder heard so far and very dark sky.

Yep heavy rain started just now. Eyes and ears are peeled for more flashes/rumbles.

It seems to weaken as it gets near the coast, subsequently not much happening here, but can see  it's kicking off a little further inland.

This storm is so close, yet so far why does it have to take so long? Nevertheless hearing thunder every 30 seconds or so in far distance.

Sun's back out here, I bet if you were on the sea front you'll be wondering what all the fuss is about.

Still hear thunder in the distance. The coast is nibbling away at the storm & weakening it from the West
