I'd like to add CO because I think SPC are too East with their enhanced region. NAM 4k and RAP have initiation in far SE CO on the DL and TP. Better kinematics exist just east into the OK panhandle so the first supercell that stays rooted and drops into this richer environment will likely produce a tornado.

Early target Guymon, OK

Going with SPC and (virtually) parked up in Woodward, OK - only 124m east of Guymon.

I can see you Chris! I'm sticking to an initial target Guymon to Elkhart right in the KS/CO/OK corner.
I'm not expecting meso development until they roll into the OK Panhandle but I like to be on their tails as they develop rather than waiting for them to arrive. Also I'd be ready to drop South as the tail enders stand a better chance once the 850mb wind fields strengthen.
That area is pretty much perfect chasing terrain - maybe a few more roads wold be good though.

I still like the Guymon area and I'm virtually prepping to head that way once breakfast is done.

SRH really cranks up here and down to the TX line so hopefully a rooted cell can drop into it and ingest the richer low level moisture.

Dave's done a briefing for us today - looks like it could be a good one to end tour 1, with a decent tornado risk, chasing in the Texas Panhandle.

I don't fancy the sound of a tornado as we land in Texas, don't want to be diverted and miss the tour!

Just found this, might be of interest regarding recent May 9 tornado in Roff, OK:

A small tornado however how it behaved seems unusual. Something to watch out for?

What a great way to end Tour 1 today. Targeted Boise City like pretty much everyone else chasing in the USA Today. Saw 3 Tornadoes including 2 near Felt (Ok) and the last one near Dalhart. Had some amazing moments down Dirt Tracks with roads dead ending then running back into the large hail. Structure was amazing and then had to core punch 70mph Golfballs on Highway 287 late tonight to get on towards Dallas for changeover tomorrow. 10 Tornadoes in 10 days with 5 in Oklahoma, 4 in Colorado and 1 in Texas.
