Day 9 and a new state for Tour 1 namely New Mexico

30-40knt of flow tomorrow should get marginal supercell structures forming with sporadic large hail and an outside chance at a landspout type tornado. Hoping we can get some structure tomorrow over anything else.

Temps of 77f and Dps of 58f and easterly upslope flow over the Santa Rosa mountains should see convection form around 20-21z and should move east into a much more moist area on the flatter plains.

Target at the moment is between Roswell and Carlsbad (NM)

Very photogenic that area - dusty spin ups possible as cells mature and drop east of the Carlsbad area.

How many states would that make it 5 or 6?

Only 5 for this trip Robin

Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico

Increased tor chances given current synoptics.

I'd be on the 285 between Pecos and Carlsbad.

Theres quite a few chasers in the area, none with a stream up yet.

So either its not worth it yet, or there's no bluumin signal.

I remember that part of Texas being quite poor for 3G when we had a few days chasing down there last year, especially south of Fort Stockton once you move away from the Interstate - hardly any signal at all...

Risk not worth it today and had some tech issues so positioned for tomorrows risk which should be very nice and in good coverage

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
