Chase Day 7 - KS/MO

Day 7 sees us waking up in Norman again and chasing probably either Kansas or Missouri, I say probably because its not upto me today, Dave Vicary is leading the chase today and I am mentoring, giving me the day off (Yay) in readiness for Sunday and Mondays risks.

 

Am sure Dave will firm up on a Target later today.

Morning All,

Heading N on I35 going to use i35 between Wichita and Emporia and shoot north to any storm that looks decent, MO is too far from our overnight location and need to keep the next few days in play, its a cold front day so cells wont be discrete for long so more of a play in the hail and then get some lightnings. Going to be cold on the north side of this so jumpers are at the ready!

I actually quite like the TX panhandle at the trailing end of the CF.  HRRR breaks out a few discrete cells from 21Z in the right side of marginal tor parameters. The main CF in KS will produce lightning and hail though for sure.

Sorry about streaming today, the puck ran out just as we got onto the cell and there was nowhere around the top up, will be streaming sunday and monday though

Had a good day. Nothing in todays storms that would worry too many people - sat and watched a few cells developing and chased a couple. Stevie wanted to stand out in the hail so that is what we did. 

 

We ended the day in Enid watching the storms surfing on the cold front heading south towards Oklahoma City.
