Yep, shower/storm motion variable for different regions from W-E and slow through the course of the afternoon as winds aloft fall light under trough axis.

Just got home, we travelled through some heavy downpours but no thunder and lightning which was strange, things seem to be developing now which is good.

Sun starting to get to work on the lower clouds now, definately a brighter, but still cloud laden sky,  now not dark enough to go off for bad light sort of level....

Rain this morning but since 10 o'clock ish it has stayed dry blue sky sun shining convection bubbling up feeling warm i think a trip to the pub is on doesnt look like its going to rain here anytime soon.

Problem at the moment everything still a bit messy and unorganised, give it a couple more hours and I think things start getting its act together, best times will be from 7pm onwards :D Patience!

that might be true of your location but not for everybody at least I'b be surprised if it were

you think the island is in with a chance this evening Ryan..   Really hope so.... the folks on the isle of wight thunderstorm group are driving me nuts, messaging me when the next storm and going to be .. :p

Haven't seen the forecast. Just relied on @Greenday's forecast which hasn't turned out correct.

I actually do mate, i think the island is in a decent spot, especially this evening when nocturnal cloud top cooling kicks in
