Here's the larger cell that's just exited the New Forest area. This is looking SW from South Wilts.

Beter cell approaching now by the looks of it

Cant take my eyes off your stream atm

*when* I get fibre, i'll upscale it to full-hd. I had to downscale it as my connection cannot support more than 1 person viewing it at 1080p

I have a quality little cell building right over me! No precipitation yet, but got it all on a timelapse, south coast looking insane right now!

I hope it continues to build... going by the usual direction of everything so far, I might end up getting it. :D

This new convection looks like a mini squall line!wow.jpg

That brought some exceptionally heavy rain here I'm ight sleeper, and I was awakened around 0100 rain rate in excess of 100mm/hr it did not last long but it was incredibly intense.

I just read your post from this morning over in the regional thread, was it reverse psychology to get a storm? If so well done!

Just had a lovely storm here, totally unexpected! Good luck to everyone else

Perfect weather day to be fair. The sun came out, pushed the temp up to 23.7°C - making it the warmest day of the year, and then a nice shower with some T&L in the late afternoon, oh and a good watering for the garden.  nyam1.gif

The Cell over Warminster, I've had my eye on for 2+ hours and it's taken more of a SW route than WSW:(

Interesting to see the pressure rise just before it, it's not even 1hPa, but as it reads in tenths of an hPa, you can spot the small differences.

Not far off the money, them charts..

Just had a rumble out of that as it came over - went from sunny and warm to torrential rain in 2 minutes. All over in 10 minutes.

As seen from Warminster. Real time lightning shows the strike to have been practically on top of the Frome Flyer restaurant and Travelodge.

Precipitation rates of 150-200mm/hr, any observations from this storm?
