sat in Cambridge services. Skies looking menacing to the south now. Pity I've been busy otherwise I'd have been heading to east Anglia. Saw the beauty happening there rising up to the east going along the A14 earlier on.

Believe this may be the convergence zone kicking off. Getting pretty black now!

Storm brewing to the south of Milton Keynes near Leighton Buzzard. Can see a huge cumulonimbus in the distance slowly heading this way,

Activity over East Anglia looks pretty much dead for now...Bedford and MK however...soon the Lincolnshire magnet will pull them in and turn them into monsters!

Some activity heading straight for Bristol by the looks of it - The question is, will it be electrifying?

It's very close to my SE, lightning firing but cannot hear any thunder, very odd indeed.

There we go can hear it now, deep angry growls. Looks like it may be building still.

Sat at godmanchester now. So much converging winds. One wind farm to the south is converting southeasterlies whilst the one over towards Brampton is converting northerlies!! Heard a few low rumbles too.

Do we know the mechanism that generated the Norfolk/Suffolk MCS this afternoon?  I've seen mention of a convergence zone (presumably at upper levels), but I assumed that the front to the north was still sufficiently distant so as not to influence us yet?
