Waiting patiently for the first thunderstorm of 2016? Hate thunderstorms and don't want any? Moan & rant here...

I love a good thunderstorm! But not had one yet, almost as rare as snow here... :cray:

Nothing for me, but I have found a remedy for it...

US chasing has turned me into a full on UK storm snob, they're just cloud farts :D

Having said that, a distant rumble from a passing shower will still get me excited.

I wouldn't be surprised if I was in here all year - I just have a gut feeling that we'll be unlucky, as we have been thus far. I've only seen lightning on one day, back in March. We did quite well last year though so maybe expecting another good year is being greedy (although that didn't seem to stop the Newcastle area when thunderstorms seemed attracted to it like flies to.. um, you know lol).

I was a whisker away from a storm on Monday and bah nothing from last night. Useless and *insert rude word' but in fairness nothing was actually in the forecast for me. Still a few months to go \o/

Well may as well come in here and put my feet up! Cloud is breaking up here and the sun is coming out. Shropshire is awful for storms! Last storm we had in Telford was that one last year in July. Getting close to a year now without!

Still waiting here. Last saw lightning in March this year, not even a rumble since. Getting a storm is like pulling teeth this year!

Yep i'm still here, rather frustrating considering the potential, just nothing fired near me and everything that did, regardless of where around me, either didn't move, or moved away from me.

I'm part of the club here in Grimsby, we've literally not had as much of a rumble yet here this year :) And to think everybody goes on about Lincolnshire being the UK storm capital... mind you, being on the coast of the Humber estuary, we usually seem to miss out on all of the action... it all goes on in the south of the county and the Wolds but skims past us nearly every single time! Having not had any thundery activity before June is unusual even for us though, usually by April or May there's been something, but no, nothing at all here to report! :o

Haven't even had a distant rumble yet, pretty standard for this location though, a couple of weak thunder showers a year is the best you could hope for living here.
