Decent start to the day but plenty of threatening looking clouds.

it feels warm enough in the sunshine so hopefully the showers will miss here.

Another glorious British high summer's day.  Outdoor temp 14C, so dull I need room lighting during the afternoon, moderate rain from a leaden sky, and indoors it's so chilly that I'm contemplating switching on the central heating.  My solar lights in the garden haven't worked all week due to lack of sunshine.

Typical default british summer pattern setting up this week and possibly next.  Atlantic driven low pressures streaming to the north west (obviously not as nasty as the could be in autumn/winter), offering periods of rain, followed by breezy, fresher conditions with showers after.  Only the timing of the belts of rain will determine how much of a poor day it will feel to be.  It looks quite mobile so at least I can't see any real flooding problems from stalling fronts.

Thankfully the showers pretty much missed here and the cloudy conditions of much of the day have moved on and it's looking like a glorious evening.

hardly ideal summer conditions but it could be worse and probably will be tomorrow.

Hasn't been above 18c for at least a week and doesn't look like getting above it in the next two weeks at least, another crap summer looking very likely.

An atrocious day today with lots of torrential downpours. I'm not a fan of heat as much as I used to be but some sun wouldn't go a miss to lighten up the mood.

That might be it for us looking at the radar, had 28mm here today. Grass is proper waterlogged.

What an awfull depressing week, the Country divided over the EU

The national football team back home embarrassed, and terror

Atrocities in Turkey, and the weather truly awful wet and cold

Today you would be forgiven for thinking we were in October

A bit of Sun and warmtb would lighten the mood but according

To the models that looks unlikely in the coming weeks,

Oh well onwards and upwards life goes on.

It really hasn't been that bad here.  One or two days  which haven't been very nice  but it's still been warm,  in the high teens.  Maybe it's because I live in a microclimate, or maybe its just me lol

Not a bad here so far but it looks like the rain is on its way.

at least it overnight though and hopefully tomorrow and the weekend offer some promise.

no heatwave but better than the UK default summer stuff of recent times.

Poor start to the day, shower after shower after shower and nothing in today's forecast to offer any rest bite.

hopefully a bit drier on Sunday but with a southerly running jet hardly summer conditions although that seems to be the usual setting over recent years.

never mind, come September the Azores high will return and a lengthy spell of dry settled conditions will arrive.

A dry and sunny day here  because of the  on-shore wind. Temp  hovering around 16°C .

Looks like we're getting you rain.

a few brief sunny spells but pretty well showers since first thing.

breezy as well and other than deep uncut grass and trees in full leaf it could be November.

A woeful week, barely any sunshine, incessant showers and bands of rain, Thursday evening was especially miserable, temperatures significantly below par. Today so far has been abysmal here, temperatures haven't got above 13 degrees, less than an hour ago we were languishing at 11.8 degrees under heavy rain, strong gusty winds and very poor visibility, more like a late October/November day. The clouds look menacing right now and no doubt another deluge is on the way. Oh dear a promising start to the summer has quickly evaporated into the vagaries of a summer 2012 style venture.. lets hope we get out of this rut quickly.

In many ways its been a miserable week, in what normally is the most positive week of the year, indeed isn't the last Friday in June means to be the happiest feeling day of the year, that date was 24 June...

I've seen the darkest of black clouds float overhead and produce hardly any rain, and yet in the past few days the merest sniff of a cloud on the horizon as dropped the proverbial bucket load.  Rain had been on tap, but we should get a bit of a respite on Sunday.

First decent dry day's weather here for over a week and at at long last the grass has been cut.

temperatures got to 19c and it felt very pleasant even with a noticeable breeze.

Yet another British "summer" grotfest.  Currently so dark I need room lights, light rain, Liverpool ATIS reporting 17C (here also 17C) with DP 15C.  Pressure 1007mb.  Another chilly, overcast day.  Whatever happened to the warmer, sunnier conditions expected for later this week? If anything conditions now are even worse.  Fine, warmer weather is always promised in 3-5 days' time, but tomorrow never comes.   It's not just a case of "jam tomorrow", I'd like at least some butter on our current dry, stale bread.

Another poor day in our no two days the same British Summer.

Never mind there's always tomorrow.

Yet another chilly, grey day.  Forecast 19-20C - the reality: 16C at lunchtime on a supposedly "high summer" July day. :cold:  That's the temp reported by Liverpool ATIS.  Yet more rain last night. However patches of blue sky showing from the West - wonder whether I could actually catch some rays as my tan has faded.
