Grey start but cleared up nicely since midday with strong sunshine. Cool in the wind still but much nicer than yesterday.

I do wonder how cold this morning would have been in winter (particularly windchill wise) because it was only 10.7c at 11.00 despite sunny spells burning through! Now up to 16.8c with almost unbroken sunshine but a strong NE wind.

Gorgeous afternoon in Falmouth once again. Spent the afternoon with a spot of sea kayaking. Perfect. :)

I'm so confused, are you in Stourbridge or Falmouth nowadays? :)

The light cloud moved away late afternoon and the sun beat down for a warm sunny evening and with the light wind and no windchill, it was very pleasant in the 16c.
Temp dropped slowly from midnight to 13c at 5am.
Struggling to get going yet under a pure white sky.
Hoping for a nice day today with light winds and less cloudy skies.

    13.3c, 1016.8 hPa, 3mph Northerly wind

    Good morning,

We seem to have lost that chilly wind chill, thankfully.

Nothing very exciting here at the moment. Overcast and grey, and with a slight breeze it's quite a chilly day.

It's like living in a mouses ear today, very depressing.

    Temp: 16.8°C - Hum: 80% - Dew: 13.6°C - Bar: 1018.12hPa - Wind: NE @ 2mph.

Still very disappointing here. No let up with the cloud cover, in fact it looks like it's getting more gloomy by the hour. Temperatures are a let down too. Still reasonably chilly in a slightly breeze. Calling this day a bust, and look forward to warmer weather tomorrow.

Temps of 19.5c here, but the cloud cover stayed with us all day.
Northerly Wind has barely registered all day, 2-3mph.
But last hour the wind has changed direction to a South Westerly and just started to pick up again 8-10mph, but no wind chill with it.

Some decent potential there tomorrow, hoping we see something here in south glos/south west, over the next week or so. :)

A very misty and dreary morning here at the moment. If it wasn't for the fact it is humid and stuffy, it would feel like a November morn!

    • Cold waves hitting Europe continue to threaten growers, is there a link to climate change?

Much of Europe, not just the UK, has experienced unseasonably cold weather since the Easter Weekend. A plunge of cold arctic air brought by northerly winds early last week brought several nights of frost and even snow across large swathes of Europe, followed by another wave of cold arctic air spreads across much of Europe this week. The frosts causing damage to new growth in vineyards and orchardsa0spurred on by a late March heatwave, the vineyards of France werea0particularly badly affected.

High pressure rules, but still chilly out the sun & watch out for a few showers

High pressure in charge for the rest of the week but the airmass will be chilly, so feeling nippy out of the sun. Not entirely dry either, with scattered showers around the next few days, especially in the west. Read the full update here

You'll need your coat because it's still cold out of the sun

More April snow for Monday morning with a widespread frost. If you have outdoor plans this week, the chill in the air remains especially once the sun goes down. Read the full update here
