Mike, you and I both know that the clear blue will be until around 10am when Cumulus will develop, spread out and make for bright/cloudy afternoons which will feel cool in the shade and when the sun is not shining. The sky will the clear through the evenings.

Haha you could well be right. I'm going to a wedding in Oxfordshire tomorrow so I expect it to be better back home than over there. West is best over the next few days methinks.

Fantastic day! Blue skies for most of it, a touch of cloud bubbled up this afternoon, but stayed sunny. Top temp was 19.7°C

Decent sunny spells,  although more cloud about now. It looks as though the fence I'm putting up, should be done before any rain.

Temp: 16.3°C - Hum: 66% - Dew: 9.9°C - Bar: 1018.19hPa - Wind: WSW @ 7mph.

Much better timing this evening... We set off for our walk to Downton at ~5:30pm, with this lot chasing us down.

It was as black as your hat, with fork lightning to the NW andd NE.

Dashed into the White Horse for a couple of pints and waited for the whole thing to blow over. Hail, torrential rain; the lot. Walked back in beautiful sunshine.

Today's result - Weather 1 Johnboy 1 :)

Two heavy showers after the initial front, one of which dropped 7mm in under an hour. A total of 12.6mm.
The sun properly came out late afternoon, it helped push the temp up to 15.2°C
