Genuinely perfect Spring day and the first day for ages with proper clean convection (last Sunday had far messier skies) although no more than a few scattered light or sharp showers resulting.

Kind of wishing it was at least a month later with the synoptics of offer this weekend into early next week with warm air, LOW pressure and at least one warm front heading North.

I suspect the front(s) nudged a little further SE than expected as we have continuous moderate rain from Ns and Sc and St. Temp 9C with the wind southerly 15mph.

Well I have to say the position of the front has seriously compromised the forecast for this area as we still have moderate rain and it's quite blustery. Not good.

Well how the day has changed since 7am! I woke up earlier than normal and it was still lightly raining, by 10am it was cloudy but dry, and since midday the sun has been out with diminishing cloud. Since 2pm it's been clear save for the frontal cloud to the far west. Gorgeous afternoon and have reached the dizzy heights of 14.6C, making it the warmest day of the year so far. I didn't expect it to be this sunny tbh.

What a beaut of a day it was today?! A touch breezy, but it was the longest the pure blue skies had hung around for a while. Top temp of 14.6°C with 10.1hrs of sunshine.

Currently cloudy with a few spots of rain in the air. Temp: 8.1°C - Hum:  88% - Dew: 6.2°C - Bar: 1006.84hPa - Wind:  SSE @ 2mph

Shower watch tomorrow! The Euro 4 prefers them further west to the NetWx 4km model, so a bit of radar watching I expect?!

Yes, and so does the BBC! Again, I'm not sure how much lightning there will be associated with these but it's possible.

Fascinating driving home from the Bristol area early yesterday evening ; crystal blue sky overhead and stretching in a wide band roughly SW - NE, frontal cloud to the NW and SE from the 2 frontal systems.

My weather station's sensor is knackered, got a new station on order.

Fine morning with hazy sunshine and all manner of mid-high level cloud types.

Was hoping for a bit of storm action tonight. Nice to have thr first plume of the year though and with every plume comes a chance of thunderstorms:)
