Every forecast i've seen for the past two days said a short period of heavy rain. It must simple be evaporating before it hits the surface.

Looking at last few radar returns @Mapantz shows the precip fading away/breaking up over your part of Dorset, could be radar playing catch up

I just moved it back to the time that the yellows were on me. Funny thing is, the radar now shows no rain over this location, and guess what? It's raining!

Moderate rain from an assortment of cloud, As/Ac, Cu and St. Temp 11C and breezy from the ESE.

Dull and grey start following just a couple of mm of overnight rain. 8.6C in a light ENE breeze.

The forecast yesterday showed it to be just overcast today, while it is just that, it is now showing heavy rain until 6pm. It is safe to say, they didn't really have much idea of the extent of the rainfall in the South.

Temp: 11.2°C - Hum: 88% - Dew: 9.3°C - Bar: 1011.24hPa - Wind: E ~ ENE @ 6mph.

Moderate to heavy rain all morning here, just beginning to ease a bit. Temp only 9.3C, humidity 97%, barometer starting to rise slowly, now 1010.5

Looks as though heaviest rain is now edging into Dorset. Certainly did not forecast extent and persistence of rain today!

Looking forward to the more settled and wamer weather forecast for later in the week!

Greetings Knocker, I'm not so easily deterred....

Determined not to be thwarted by the possible lack of cold this coming winter, I've prepared for a snowless winter. My garden will be full of icy snowflakes this Christmas, I've made them out of fused glass.....

It's turned pretty wet here, now.

I'll have to mow the lawn again when it dries out, the sunny October so far has seen the grass grow quite a lot over the last few weeks.

Thoroughly wet afternoon here. Rain band has barely moved. Falmouth has had some flooding at the Ponsharden roundabout causing road closures at the A39 there and heavy delays on surrounding roads.

i never did reply to you the other day. Thanks though for replying to my ramblings . 

Its been awful here today, but we mustn't complain, I can't remember the last time it rained all day. We mowed the grass on Friday - it looks like spring grass now, it's so green! Haven't even fertilised it this year.

Had a bit of light rain overnight last night which was followed by a dry and cloudy morning. It rained for most of the afternoon giving a total of 3.0mm and a high temperature of 12.4°C.

I've just this minute heard something too - checked the radar, and I see a few sferics on there. Moderate rain here too.

No rain here as yet...sounds very elevated as it's literally rumbling so low you can almost feel it....:-)

I haven't been outside but I've been watching the radar and wondering if it will come this way. Seems to have intensified over the last 30 mins or so. Dry here as well at the moment.
