Supposed to be sunny today but at the moment we have a layer of As. You can possible see why on the 00z ascent which also shows up the CAA in the lower layers vis the easterly wind.

Was nice earlier on in the day but been cloudy this afternoon. Quite breezy which again made it feel quite cold especially when it clouded over.

Temperature reached 13.8°C. Currently 12.2°C.

Just parked up in Trowbridge only to be greeted by monsoon like rain.  This was most certainly not forecast by any tv or model prediction that I saw last night.

Very dark getting up and then leaving the house at 7.20 in overcast, wet conditions... Looking forward to some early sun tomorrow!

Forecasts suggest thundery possibilities spreading NE early tomorrow and again tomorrow afternoon.

I have just emptied 4mm from my gauge which fell in pre-dawn heavy showers on the last 2 mornings. October now at 18mm.

Besides those showers it has been a lovely week.

Proper neighbours rain here at the moment. We're supposed to be having an outdoor brew day in a bit, so hopefully it will clear up soon.

Bringing my vast experience into play I decided that I would pop down to the country park this morning in the window before the rain arrives.  Just got there when a slow moving heavy shower arrived which lasted until the rain belt took over which was just now,
