Nothing of note for us overnight. All the excitement seemed to miss us as it picked up towards Blandford and Purbeck.

We sat in the garden watching the early flashes that were heading towards Winchester, just after nightfall. The natives were certainly restless about something round here though...

Surprisingly no rain at all yesterday afternoon or overnight. It all stayed further south and east. A few flashes and distant rumbles overnight was all I got. Can't complain however after the surprise storms on Tuesday!

Over two hours of thunder & lightning. There wasn't much rain to begin with, then the heavens opened! Not as much fell here as it did, East of the region, but it was how quickly it totalled up. 21.6mm falling very fast!

It is a lot fresher today, and windy. It still made 20°C

No thunder storms heard here. But many in Locks Heath said they heard some last night.

It started off beautifully sunny, and then went overcast in the past hour. Top temp of 20.1°C

Just back from a lovely week in the Swanage,Weymouth....oh the whole area really,fabulous weather,2 monster storms,rather dodgy very small boat ride from Weymouth to Portland got the nerves jangling as the wind suddenly picked up,only mistake swimming in the sea at Lulworth Cove,bloody freezing lol but the sun and gorgeous views soon took the edge off the hypothermia lol.

The water's always like that , as a nipper I must have had mercury in my veins, as I would go swimming March to October, damn not these days.

Just back from 2 days in Norwich where it was overcast for most of the time, twas nice to head back into the area for a blast of warmth and sunshine..

Ended up warmer than I was expecting today. Reached 22°C earlier. Cooled down a bit when it clouded over but that wasn't until mid afternoon so not a bad day overall.

Today has been the worst day in a long time , not even a hint of brightness although it was clear on the Eastern horizon at 06.30 .

Dull and misty throughout with showery heavy rain until about midday and drizzly most of the afternoon.

Also the coolest day since 29th June with the max being 16.6c .

A cool, cloudy day, lowest daytime temperature fo a long while.

Raining quite hard here this evening - some orange echoes on the radar.

Temperature reached 17.7°C earlier this morning but has hovered around the 15°C mark since the rain arrived around lunchtime.

There's been trace amounts of rain for most of the day, here. It is persistent now, although very light. It reached 18°C - thought that was the lowest since June until I looked at my data summary and saw that September 2nd  only hit 17.4°C

Mostly dry and cloudy today with a fairly heavy shower around 4pm giving 0.8mm of rain. Reached 18.2°C.

.. not liking this dreary weather.
I noticed today, that green algae is appearing on certain parts of the path in the garden, and on some brickwork I laid back in the Summer - A sure sign that it is now a distant memory!

Top temp today was 18.2°C

Yes the last few days have been very dull, accentuating how dull this month has been overall. Brightening up now though and it's amazing what a difference it makes to the temperature. Already reached the forecast high for today.

There were two very sharp showers this morning, one at 4:25am and another at around 9:25am, totalling 3.2mm in 15 minutes.
