Thunder here from a cell to our North East that I can't really see, as this moves off to the South West.

Just had two spells of heavy rain since 4pm, 6.6mm so far. WNW wind picked up 12-18mph during the rain spells.
Dark and grey now but looks like rain has all passed through.
19.2c at 2.30pm, now 16.5c, 1000.3 hPa, now a very light W to WSW wind.

Edit: Another heavy shower just now, 7.5mm so far today. A bit of distant thunder too.

absolutely brilliant storm passed through between 6pm and 7pm. Overhead lightning and thunder, absolutely torrential rain and of course I got caught out in it!

So I set off after work for my walk to Downton. A cell was rumbling away to the East down the A36, towards Southampton. Then it all started to
build up to to the West on the A354 to Blandford. Due North was fine, so I pressed on. Got to Downton and this actually looked like it was rotating, but was sliding to the west.

It wasn't planned, but I had to dash into the pub just as it all kicked off. Cue torrential for a good while, with thunder and lightning overhead,

I've only just got back, and it's a school night.

Well,I certainly didn't have to chase. Cracking storm went overhead between 4 and 6. Torrential rain. My road was a river. Waitrose in Wallingford was struck by lightning and flooded and another business in town took a direct hit. Scary stuff

We had a few more drizzly showers late evening, a total of 8.9mm yesterday.
Temp dropped to 13.5c at 4am, just starting to rise now, 14.5c.
Cloudy but dry, very damp on the ground seeming as its been so dry, so good for the garden.
Some light rain 4am to 5am, 0.6mm.
1004.2 hPa, NW wind 4mph.
Humidity has been above 90% since 4pm yesterday and is at 95% now.

Well having had convective/thundery weather in all directions except overhead all week (admittedly heard rumbles to the SW Tuesday afternoon and 1 rumble early Wednesday pm) this morning has brought persistent rain/drizzle since 06.30 .

Sounds very similar to here Andy. While other places have had some incredible totals of rain, June continues to be a dry month here - the ground is rock hard (or slightly damper this morning after some persistent rain).

Rinse and repeat in Warminster, on the edge of a shower a few hours ago otherwise warm sunshine all afternoon with beautiful CBs to the W/NW/NE/, also too far away to hear thunder which is in the Wells area.

Mapantz what is your June rainfall total now? After this mornings rain mine is still only 20.5mm!!

Frequent rumblings away to the west. Missed the downpours so far today. Just had a couple of brief light showers.

Weston storm shield in full affect again, nice little storm heading my way only to fizzle out as it got to Weston.

Still, I managed to see a little lightning as I was travelling down the motorway on my way home from work.

Storm looked nice as it passed Portishead & Clevedon, but when I got back to Weston, there was blue skies and it had already broken up into plain old rain.

We've had a couple of heavy and thundery showers here today, first one early afternoon and the second is still rumbling around as I type but the rain is dissipating as well.  Still looks likely there will be some more rain this evening but possibly not thundery.
