Although it stayed cloudy yesterday with spells of sunshine appearing at times, it was warm and humid, 21-23c and little wind.

Started raining about 6:15am this morning, 2.6mm so far.
That is the first rain since the 1st of this month.
Looks like it might be set in for the day.

14c now, 1008.4 hPa
Wind 6mph and changed direction today to SSE,
Humidity now 94% and been in the 90's since midnight

A foggy and damp morning with drizzle floating around in the air. Much unlike a November morning! Not cold though and still feEling humid. The sun is trying to break through which considering the front has already passed here, it should burn through later.

Mostly cloudy, but the sun does keep making appearances.

Temp: 17.6°C - Hum: 86% - Dew: 15.2°C - Bar: 1007.48hPa - Rain: 3mm - Wind: SW / WSW @ 3mph.

Despite May's rainfall just about average, the last three months are below. The lawn is green at the moment, but it is rock hard!

Bubbling up nicely down here. This lot is heading for the New Forest at the moment.

It looks like lots of kettles have been left on. :)

This is what I'm seeing:

Nice big storm passed North of here, a fair bit of T&L observed, it was the cell that went over Cheltenham, flooding there by all accounts.

It still cannot manage to drop any meaningful rain here. There hasn't really been a breakdown as such, temps have dropped off a bit today, but Friday, Saturday and yesterday still managed to get above 20°C - just 4.8mm of rain so far this month.

Temp: 17°C - Hum: 78% - Dew: 13.1°C - Rain: 0.8mm - Bar: 1003.76hPa - Wind: WSW / W @ 3mph.

It's often said that no 2 days are the same but surprisingly yesterday and today are virtual carbon copies despite the fronts and LOW pressure ; showery rain/drizzle (but only 2.5mm each time) until around 09.00 followed by low cloud/hazy sunshine. A few sharp showers around midday then increasingly breezy and sunny by mid afternoon and pleasantly warm at just above 20c.

So I'm back after six days away in north Italy which were, quite simply, wet!

Taken a look at the models and all in all they look rather uninspiring and disappointing considering it's June. Hoping for more Azores high influence in the future.

Short heavy shower just blew through and it looks like there are plenty more to come. Rubbish.

edit - and now I've just lost an entire Bourbon biscuit to a cup of Yorkshire Tea :(

It's blowing a hoolie today, but there is sunny spells so it feels pleasant enough. I've got away with rubbish weather so far. However, there is a warning covering me today, so it may all change.

Temp: 17.2°C - Hum: 76% - Dew: 12.9°C - Bar: 997.83hPa - Wind: W / WSW @ 6mph, gusting to 18mph.

Good old Bristol Channel, doing a proper job of preventing showers forming.

Looks like another day of watching the rest of the country getting storms.

At least it dry I suppose.

Steve, you say that but there were a lot of showers forming along the Bristol Channel coast and moving inland this morning.

As with Mapantz' location Warminster has dodged the worst again today, 5mm overnight/this morning but dry/bright since about 10.00 while a pretty active (though not thundery) streamer has been moving West-East several miles South, I am assuming it is a convergence line.

Scratch that, thunder to the South quite regularly in the last half an hour and really dark skies in that direction while it's still dry/bright/18.1c overhead. I would expect a lot of localised flooding towards Salisbury pretty soon.

This is all too common on a westerly in the convective part of the year, as opposed to the autumn/winter/early spring when the Bristol Channel actually helps set up trains of showers. Anything between SW and WNW is often pants for shower/storm activity here.

It's been cloudy here all day with a mixture of cloud, Ci, Ac, Sc and Cu. It's broken in the last hour or two and now sunny with some quite large Cu which produced a brisk shower not long ago.

Hello Andy,

Yep, this is over Salisbury at the moment.

No flashes, or bangs that I could observe, but I suspect that all leave has just been cancelled at the Journal.

Yep. Have had some thunder on and off for past hour or so here along with some very heavy rain. Throughout today it has been pretty wet with frequent showers. Got thoroughly soaked as I work outdoors! Starting to brighten up now.

Spoke to soon. More storms passing just to my south. Got a great view of a few strikes a couple of miles to my south. Been 2 or so years since I've had storms here so it's about time!
