Finally the murk is slowly clearing, with very hazy glimpses of sun casting slight shadows. I went to mow the lawn even though it's still reasonably damp underfoot, the sweat dripping of me! It certainly is warm and muggy even with this cloud cover.

Not impressed with latest text forecast

'any remaining showers...'

quick glance at the radar, would show none at all

Forecasting a bright day on Monday with sunny spells, and only the odd shower possible, they then say

becoming drier and brighter on Tues / Wed

If it becomes any brighter than it currently is, then i'm going to need more powerful sunglasses !!

I spotted that cell on the radar just after six and wondered where the heck it had come from!  On the 18.00 radar there was nothing, but by the 18.10 one there it was.  Saw the lightning shown there too, but too far away to hear it from here.

Warm already at 21C. Quite a hot night in the house last night so sleeping was rather difficult. Hoping for some flatulent behaviour in the atmosphere later today. ;)

Nice warm start, the wind has dropped compared to yesterday as well making it feel even warmer.

Morning all. Way too much murk and low cloud around here this morning for any isolated storms to form. Seems a lot of drizzly light rain just to my south West too. I think I can safely say this current thundery spell is a bust this time. Onto the next...........

Temperature rocketing again here after the overhang of cloud from the Brighton storm earlier, currently 26.3°C  Hum 69% Wind Variable right now.

@MapantzThat drizzle stuff is now approaching my location, its starting to produce storms over France from the same band... Lets hope its not just given you drizzle for today!

It's highly unlikely that anything will develop here. In any case, as much as I want storms, I do hope it all stays East/North - Working in the garden, and rain would be a huge hindrance. :)

As we all know, forecasting storms is difficult and they could pop up anywhere! Let's hope we both get something this though, need some rain for the old garden.

Clouds currently shooting up all around here in the last half hour, starting to block the sun which in laying in

Very humid today, probably the highest humidity so far this Spring/Summer and now getting bright sunshine after hazy sunny spells until an hour ago. Lots of interesting mid-high level cloud but nothing to suggest it will develop in this area. I'd suggest that the trough/front brought the scattered light rain/drizzle through the region and, along with the storms already occurring, could spark into life as it heads East.

Beautiful here and it hit 24.6c at 4pm, hottest day this year.
Weather station shows 1021.7 hPa, humidity at 58% now with a low of 51% midday.
Wind is Westerly now and 10mph, not that you would notice.

Towering Cumulus to my North and East once again, but never really form into anything!

Still 25c DP 15c and humidity starting to climb now. Becoming increasingly uncomfortable!
