Yeah, not for me AJ! I've only had a bit of alcohol at Christmas and New Year!

Probably for the best:)

Beautiful morning here in sunny Basingstoke. It's morning's like these that make it bearable to get out of bed.

Looking forward to the potential storm-action this weekend, though I will be up in Hemel Hempstead on Saturday, I'm hoping something kicks off over Hampshire upon my return Sunday

It's been a cracking week so far (BH excluded ). Seems like we're surrounded by stunning yellow rapeseed around here and when the weather's like this, there aren't many places on the planet that I'd rather be :)

Over the weekend, I'm expecting that this far South, I'll be in the garden watching any storm clouds start to bubble up over Salisbury Plain for those further North and that suits me just fine.

Beautiful day here in CS England. Already 18.2 C making for a lovely walk to and from the gym. In fact, not sure why I went to the gym when I could have done a proper walk. If our summers were 6 months of this life would be perfect!

Majorite of the island is around 17- 19'c though a few spots including central Newport is reading 21.0'c, Brightstone area is at 20.4'c

where i am though its 16.2'c thanks to a sea breeze in my area, just taking the edge off a touch but still very pleasant, lovely birthday weather for me indeed :p

They must be testing their system with the craziest warning possible on the warmest day for 7 to 8 months!

And we've reached 20 degrees C at last here in Reading!. Maximum 20.6, after an overnight minimum of 4.3.

Reading University recorded 20.3/2.5, an unusually large variation at 17.8 degrees - I imagine there might be an even greater range out in Benson.

Even drier air today than yesterday. Registered 26% humidity this afternoon! Reminded me of when I lived in Madrid.

Slight cloud cover today, ruining the lovely blues skies we had yesterday.
17c now, wind ENE and very light, 1010.2 hPa, humidity 58%.

Hit 18.2c here yesterday mid afternoon and a low of 12c overnight.

Yes lots of high cloud around at the moment. The satellite looks quite messy. Having achieved a very decent maximum yesterday, a similar maximum might result today simply because of cloud.

Sunny again, with high Cirrus.

Temp: 18°C - Hum: 52% - Bar: 1010.24hPa - Wind: E @ 5mph.

Exactly @Mapantz so one for you I reckon, especially with your of love of bells and whistles on websites.

I find it a bit odd these days that on a glorious day like today, the bbc forecast and plenty of other apps, show something like the following...

Capture.PNG

So bit of cloud and a bit of sun, which is technically correct, but I get this when I step outside...

IMGP0414__sm.jpg

We (Netweather buddies) all knew it was going to be lovely with a bit of high level cloud, but the automated forecasts are so limited with their... Capture_.PNG (the OH looks at the app and says 'Friday doesn't look that great').

It's got me thinking... If I, or anyone built up a DB of photos for my or any location c/w a timestamp (12Z, etc) for various whether conditions, do you reckon it would be possible to cross reference it to the current conditions, with a view to presenting that same picture, or the closest match for future forecasts.

That way when I when I open the curtains in the morning, I know I'm going to get... IMGP0414___sm.jpg (ish) rather than... IMGP0302__sm.jpg

Do you get where I'm coming from?
