8):D8)

A fair display of sheet lightning between 0005 and 0055 over Salisbury Plain.

Nearest I estimate at 1 mile thunderwise but TBH there was very little thunder :? and what I did here was tame, there were approx 2 flashes per minute. 1 of the flashes almost seemed overhead but is difficult to be sure :?

Very misty still and heavy rain fell here throughout-all seems to have stopped/moved away now.

Glad I went to bed with blind/window open else I would have missed it all :!:

Heavy rain from 00:40 - 01:15 - thunder heard 01:00 - 01:25 - IC lightning from 01:00 - 02:00. Only peaked at about 1 flash every 4 or 5 minutes however, and the thunder was bearly audible.

Was awoken by very heavy rain in Central London

Loud thunder followed

Not sure of time but probably between 1am and 4am

Most oppresive day of the year by far today after very uncomfortable night

Unusually, that storm over Middlesbrough and Durham made it all the way over to the coast!

Same here, but the thunder wasn't that loud. I was awoken by the torrential rain, then i just went back to sleep.. :D

I saw a bolt of lightning at around 4am. My ex-girlfriend says she was woken up by a big storm at 6:30, but I managed to sleep through it despite having one window wide open!
